The text of the book and illustrations are about folk beliefs and rituals related to plants. There are 8 chapters in the book - each chapter
is divided into a smaller thematic section. These are, for example, magical properties, beliefs and rituals, the development of the plant,
its place of occurrence, etc. Selected plants are oak, mistletoe, lovage, mandrake, sundew, ophioglossum, ground pine and St John's wort. The text was chosen from the book by Krystyna Jabłońska of the same title.
